Speaker: Dr. Checo Rorie, Associate Professor of Genetics | North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University
About Dr. Rorie: Dr. Rorie is an Associate Professor and the Interim Chair of the Department of Biology at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. He has a Cancer Genetics and Cell Biology laboratory where he studies breast cancer health disparities. His research is focused on understanding the mechanisms of breast cancer health disparities. He uses cell line models to investigate the role that microRNAs and the environment play in the aggressive behavior of triple negative breast cancer that contributes to disparities.
