About Dr. Frederickson: Dr. Barbara Fredrickson is a leading scholar within social psychology, affective science (the study of emotion), and positive psychology. She has received more than 16 consecutive years of research funding from the National Institutes of Health, and her research and teaching have been recognized with numerous honors. Her online course on Positive Psychology has been attended by over 200,000 people.
