One Sky, Many Eyes

Journey through the Carolina night sky using the lens of cultural astronomy.

Join Morehead educators in exploring the night sky through the lens of cultural astronomy. One Sky, Many Eyes is a unique, live overview of the current North Carolina night sky—weaving together modern astronomy and traditional Native American, African American, and Central American interpretations of the heavens. The rich cultural diversity of the southern United States provides a celestial tapestry connecting us to our history and shared view of the sky above.

Similar to the original Carolina Skies, this show is never the same twice. A Morehead educator leads this “live” star show, a traditional planetarium show focusing on stars, planets, and constellations.
