Hidden No More VR

The Hidden No More VR Experiences are part of a National Science Foundation funded project entitled Hidden No More: Shedding Light on Science Stories in the Shadows. The project has three phases, each focusing on a characteristic of light.

Phase 1

In Phase 1, users can explore the relationship between light and color and learn more about the work of two featured scientists, Kamal al-Din al-Farisi and Mercedes López-Morales. The VR experience transports viewers to the observatories of the scientists where they participate in research — learning how rainbows are formed and searching for exoplanets with the light of distant stars.

Phase 2

In Phase 2, users will explore discoveries and inventions connected to light and energy and learn about the work of Lewis Latimer and Dr. Hakeem Oluseyi.

Phase 3

The final phase will focus on the interplay between light and time.
