SUMMARY:From Gates to Greats: Rural Science Education Engagement with the Saunders Science Scholars Program
DESCRIPTION:This presentation will highlight a collaborative rural community partnership featuring Morehead Planetarium and Science Center\, Gates County Schools\, and local non-profit Gates County Community Partnership. Discussion will include how these partners implemented a community-wide collaborative effort that resulted in academic achievements for the students and increased family science engagement in a rural community. \n\n\n\nAttend virtually or in person. In-person attendees can come to the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center. For the virtual option\, join via Zoom when the event begins. We will be using automatic live captions for this event.
