Special Activities

Students in a Discovery Class.

Discovery Classes are hands-on, minds-on learning experiences designed specifically for school groups visiting Morehead. These interactive classes add an exciting dimension to any school visit.

Carolina Skies: Special Editions in the planetarium.

Throughout the year Morehead offers special editions of the popular Carolina Skies planetarium program. These are "live" star shows led by a Morehead educator. Come learn about celestial objects, myths and legends or current astronomical events of interest.

Cassini and Saturn

Throughout the year, Morehead is proud to offer special events. These non-recurring events are based on science occurring around us currently. We hope to bring our community fun, engaging events for the rest of the year.
