STEMville

Each year, Morehead hosts STEMville events in communities across North Carolina. Although it's not a real town, STEMville is a place where children can practice STEM skills (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) that can help them succeed in school and in life.

You may find a STEMville event at your local school, library or community center. Many STEMville events are free. Some STEMville events are for families - parents and children learning about science and having fun together!

Most STEMville events are designed for children in elementary school or middle school. Sometimes, high school students participate as activity leaders.

Morehead offers three different types of STEMville events (click each event type to visit its own information page):

Every child in North Carolina should have access to STEM enrichment programs. With STEMville, Morehead can reach children who might not have such access, creating a fun learning environment for those children and their families to participate in STEM activities.
