A favorite Morehead tradition returns in October: "Scare-olina Skies," a Halloween-themed version of Morehead's classic "Carolina Skies" star show.
The show is on Friday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. in the GlaxoSmithKline Fulldome Theater. Admission is $7 for general admission and $6 for Morehead members. Click here for for more information.

On Saturday, Sept. 7, join us at Jordan Lake State Park, 8-10 p.m.
On Friday, Sept. 27, join us at Little River Regional Park, 8-10 p.m.

It isn't uncommon to hear someone say, "The movie looks good, but I want to read the book before I see it." Sometimes, however, the science can be just as riveting.
Local teens can enjoy both the movie and the science during a free screening of "Jurassic Park," Steven Spielberg's 1993 blockbuster, on Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at Morehead Planetarium and Science Center. During the movie's intermission, paleontologists will explain some of the science behind the movie.
