Night Lights: A Family New Year's Eve

CHAPEL HILL – Partnering with the Chapel Hill Downtown Partnership, Morehead Planetarium and Science Center is hosting Night Lights, a day of New Year’s Eve activities for kids of all ages on Sunday, December 31st from 2pm-6pm. There will be games, shows in the GSK Fulldome Theater, Science LIVE! performances, and photo booth fun. The day ends with a New Year’s countdown. Tickets are SOLD OUT for our individual shows, but all other activities are free and open to the public! Feel free to stop by for the games, Science LIVE! performances, photo booth, and food trucks!. 

Night Lights offers local entertainment and food too. Kidzu Children’s Museum blasts off into the New Year featuring STEM and space challenges, and Studio A DanceArts will perform a magical light and dance show. The popular food trucks Dusty Donuts and Chirba Chirba will be on site for snacking, or visitors can enjoy one of many nearby downtown restaurants for dinner; www.downtownchapelhill.com/dining.

Stop by for a New Year’s Eve of family fun, rain or shine. Tickets for the star show are $5 and are only available online. Space is limited, so registration for the star show is required. All other activities and games are free and open to the public.
