We're just a few days away from the North Carolina Science Festival -- our state's two-week-long, 500-mile-wide celebration of science!
Since Morehead founded the Festival in 2010, nearly a quarter-million people have participated in Festival programs. There are so many choices! Many of the state's universities are hosting science expos (UNC's expo is April 12). The Statewide Star Party covers two nights, with almost 40 different skywatching sites. Dozens of schools are participating in Folt Science Nights (elementary school), Invite-A-Scientist (middle school) and Science Spotlight (high school) programs.
Libraries, parks, museums and other sites are hosting all kinds of events. Many of these events are FREE! Some are for kids, some are for adults. Whether you like high tech concepts or nature walks, there's something for you.
