All About Me campers journey deep inside the human body. They look at the nose when it sneezes, creep into the inner ear and explore the acidic stomach cavity. This camp is not recommended for the weak at heart. (Yes, we'll learn about that, too!)

Engage in the wild world of animals by observing your surroundings and making a birdhouse for the once-endangered Eastern Bluebird. The exploration doesn't stop there -- clean up an oil spill, create an action plan for protecting the environment and end the week with an up-close meeting of native North Carolina critters. You don't want to miss these animal encounters!

In LEGO Create, campers get to kick their creativity up a notch as they use LEGO WeDo robotics and recycled goods to build something truly one of a kind. Using Scratch animation, campers will also learn the science behind animation by creating their own wacky cartoons. Campers should arrive with their imagination fully charged and ready to go!

How did ancient cultures explain the Milky Way or the Moon? During the week, campers wil hear ancient stories explaining the sky from Indian, Maya, Creek, Egyptian and Native American cultures. By making a galaxy map and demonstrating the phases of the Moon, campers will also learn the science behind what we observe. At the end of the week, campers will tell their own story of the night sky as they create and present a show to Morehead staff in the planetarium dome.

Campers explore how the physics of sound works to produce everything from Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" to today's hottest hits! They also investigate how differrent cultures have made different sounds with musical instruments. This week of art, culture and science concludes with designing, creating and playing new musical instruments.

What toys use magnets? How do Frisbees fly? Campers will explore these questions and more as they use Newton's laws of motion to create toy cars, make their own circuits and experiment with flight. At the end of the week, campers will put on their hardhats and create their own toy inventions.
