Research Slam!posted Wednesday July 2, 2014
Join researchers from UNC's computational astronomy and physics department for "Research Slam!" -- a series of three-minute teaser presentations featuring their current research. The free program explores topics ranging from visualizing the flow of mucus (yes, snot!) to measuring dark matter in distant galaxies.
"Research Slam!" will replace the regularly-scheduled "Science LIVE! All Systems Go" on July 12 at 2:30 p.m. in the Science Stage. The program is free and appropriate for adults and school-age children. The presentations will be followed by question-and-answer opportunities.
