LEGO-palooza is back!posted Tuesday February 21, 2012
LEGO-palooza returns to Morehead Planetarium and Science Center in March for its eighth year. And there's something new this year: You can watch "brickfilms" (stop-motion animated videos created with LEGO figures) on the big screen all day in Morehead's Science Stage! (Regular Science Stage programs are canceled during LEGO-palooza.)
This amazing exhibit features hundreds of LEGO models created by the NC LEGO User Group. The exhibit is free and is appropriate for ages 6 and older.
- Saturday, March 10, 11-4 p.m.
- Sunday, March 11, 1-4 p.m.
LEGO-palooza is in a new location this year, because the banquet hall facility has been converted into space for other campus programs. Please enter the building through the west entrance (UNC Visitor Center). You'll find exhibits in the Rotunda (main floor), "brickfilms" in the Science Stage (main floor, adjacent to the Rotunda) and exhibits in the State Dining Room (third floor).
PLEASE NOTE: Elevator service to the third floor is limited to guests who have disabilities. We ask that you do not bring strollers to LEGO-palooza; we do not have room to accommodate strollers on the elevator or in the exhibit areas.
